In the Mulloy household, our favorite Christmas traditions are filled with baking dozens of cookies, crazy sweaters and a glitter-filled kitchen the entire month of December. Of course there is nothing like that thrill we get when the first box of shiny ornaments is opened. It’s like a globe of joy explodes and everyone in the house goes crazy with energy!

Christmas Eve starts with a little cocktail party at my mother’s house, and ends with our girls’ theatrical narration of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Christmas day is filled with warm coffee, hot chocolate, gifting and special moments of reading holiday cards from family and friends.  A few days later when the sugar rush leaves, we head to Taos, New Mexico, for a few casual days, strolling the town square and praying our knees don’t give out at Taos Ski Valley.
